Thus, India has ousted China as a contender for offshore services and tops the list of 30 countries.Compatibility, manpower, linguistic skills, government support, educational system, cost optimization, cultural flexibility, legal infrastructure and data security are some of the strong areas that have given India a competitive edge in the sphere of outsourcing.Think of IT industry in India and cities such as Bangalore, Hyderabad and Pune first strike the mind. These cities have already a set role. However, it is Gujarat and especially Ahmedabad that is in the process of spreading the wings in this area.
